Despite the fact that one third of the Gospel narrative deals with healing, it usually comes as a surprise to church members when we suggest that health and healing continue to be essential and integral to the life, mission and ministry of the local congregation as we reclaim the healing ministry that is part of the Apostolic mandate of Jesus Christ to the Church: to preach, teach and heal. In this webinar, we will examine the theological foundations of our healing ministry as well as survey the biblical origins and historical development of how this ministry has always played a unique role in the life of the Church, as well as the various forms it has taken and how Parish Nursing Ministry evolved and continues to evolve within this framework.
