Parish Nurse - Grace Church-on-the-Hill
Grace Church-on-the-Hill is inviting applications for a part-time Parish Nurse (RN), who will be an active member of our congregation. The Nurse will respond to the intersecting spiritual/psychological/social/and physical needs of individual members of our congregation and community. The successful candidate will work with our existing team of Pastoral visitors and will be prepared to participate in InterChurch Health Ministries Canada Basic Parish Nursing Ministry Education Program at Emmanuel College in Toronto beginning in October, 2010.

Applewood United Church
Located in beautiful Mississauga Ontario, Applewood United Church is looking for a compassionate, caring individual who wants to be an integral part of a Health and Wellness team. The team is committed to making a difference in people’s lives through an inclusive Christian community.
The church ministry has an opening for a Parish Nurse (RegN).
This part-time position will commence in September of 2010. The successful applicant will work 10 hours per week and will assume responsibility for providing care of the whole person – body, mind and spirit. He/she will work closely with other church staff, most often the ordained minister.
The successful applicant will have the minimum qualification of Registered Nurse and hold a current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
The successful applicant will have a strong knowledge base of geriatric, pediatric, acute care and mental health nursing. He/she will illustrate strong leadership skills and demonstrate a passion and commitment for a health ministry.
The successful applicant will be proficient in the use of computers for the purposes of report writing and presentations.
