On Friday, May 6, 2016, Kane Funeral Home held their annual KANE DAY as part of their ‘Take Heart Bereavement Program.’ This program is designed to support people in the community as they listen and learn from experts in the field of grief and bereavement.

Over 400 lay and professional care providers gathered at Peoples Church to hear motivational speaker Darci Lang discuss how a positive 90% attitude will help us cope with many of our life challenges and as well as during difficult times when dealing with grief.

Over the past 8 years, ICHM Canada has had the opportunity to provide a display at this event promoting Parish Nursing Ministry and connecting with other providers in learning how best to serve those in our community dealing with grief and loss. The morning culminated with a complimentary lunch enabling those gathered to share their stories.

We were grateful for the opportunity to, once again, engage in this enriching experience.
